The world of getting ungated

Getting ungated is a crucial part of becoming a successful Amazon seller. Therefore, it is very important to read through this section carefully

Ungated means you are able to sell the product without uploading the invoice. Gated means the product requires you to have an invoice of 10 products, which are purchased from a retailed to get ungated to sell any product for that brand. Ex: 10 of the same Lego set = I can sell any Lego. To get an invoice, you can purchase 10 of any product that is from X brand from the x retailer. You'll receive an invoice from each retailer (or packing slip), which can be uploaded to get ungated.

How to know if you're gated or ungated

The first thing you want to do is add the ASIN of the product. You can find this on the middle of the product page in a box.

You'll copy this ASIN and use it to "Add a product." Once you've completed this, you'll see one of two things. Either "Apply to sell," meaning you're potentially gated for x product, or you'll see "Sell this product," meaning you're ungated and can sell the product.

How to get ungated:

To get ungated, you'll want to purchase any ten units of the same product from the list of retailers below. You'll then use the invoice or packing slip they provide you and send it to Amazon. After you send an invoice, you may get declined every once in a while. In these cases, you'll want to close the open application and reapply. You'll sometimes have to apply 5-6 times for certain items, but once you're ungated, you don't have to worry about it later.

The exact process of getting ungated for x brand:

Step 1. Look for an item under the brand you're trying to get ungated for on one of the listed sites below.

Step 2. Purchase ten units of said item (Must be the same item).

Step 3. Then either download the invoice/packing slip from their website or request it via email (depending on the site)

- Must have an Amazon business account!

- This has been Iffy lately, but it's still a great resource.

- Must be a business account
