Good to know: In this section of the guide, we will go over the basics of Shipments

This section will be broken into two sub sections: - "The difference between FBA and FBM & "Making Shipments 101"

This will help you have a better understanding of how to properly make shipments

Differences between FBA & FBM

There are two ways of shipping units to Amazon: FBA and FBM. (FBM ORDERS ARE BEYOND SIMPLE. THEY WILL SHOW UP ON THE MAIN SELLER CENTRAL PANEL).

FBA Fulfillment By Amazon: - This means that multiple goods are being shipped form your house, then from your house, to Amazon. Ex: Bob orders 100 items from Apple -> 100 items ship to his house -> puts 100 items in box -> ships one box of 100 items to Amazon - Amazon ships to customer

FBM- Fulfillment By Merchant: Whereas FBM, you will ship directly to the customer.

FBA Pros You have a better chance of getting buy box Cons: Takes time for your listing to go up, as you have to wait for your inventory to process.

FBM pros: The listing goes up right away. - Great for when there's no buy box. Cons: Harder to get buy box.

- We recommend using Seller Amp to calculate the profitability of each. After you’ve done this, you can go ahead and create your shipment. Remember, we provide you Seller Amp for free!

Creating a FBA/FBM shipment

The following will go over how to create an FBA shipment

Step 1. Is to add the product to your seller central account. You will then click on the 3 lines at the top-left of the screen. You'll then click "Inventory" -> then "Manage all inventory."

Step 2. Now, click the check mark on the items you want to send to Amazon. Once you've done that, you will want to click on Actions, and then you will click on "Send/Replenish Inventory." Then Click " Continue."

Step 3. The next thing you will want to do is click on "Prep and Labeling," then input the respective information. If no prep is needed, then click on "no prep." You will usually only prep items that are bundled together.

Step 4.You will then enter the respective amount of units in the box "units." You will then click on "Print Skus." You will then print these SKUS with any printer. You can purchase these $10 skus in the resources section. Once printed, place the SKUS on the respective inventory. Once completed, click on "Pack individual units. Then place the items in a box and tape it up.

Step 5. Once you've taped up the box, you will input the box dimensions and click "continue."

Step 6. You will then select the day you want to ship it out and then print the labels. Then place the labels on the box and drop it off at UPS.
